My quilt is back from Angela...she did a AWESOME job and I can't tell you how happy I am with it. I am in the process of binding it...along with a new project that we received from my meeting at Kansas city Modern Quilt guild. It was a great night....met lots of new people and hung out with some great friends. Mind you I don't know half the things they are talking about, since i am new to quilting, but I can google it :) The project is we all got a packet of Tula Pinks new fabric Plume...and we have to use it and only 1 1/2 yards of some other fabric for the front. I got home and thought about it and decided to make yo yos...so last night while I was watching the Olympics I made yo yos.....i just love them. Know I am wondering how and what I am going to do with them Need to make a run to Stewarstville to the Quilt Shoppe (one of my fav places) and pick up something to go along with the yo yos...and I am thinking ribbon too!?!

My quilt that I made for Drew is almost finished..I am getting it back from Angela tom...I am so excited. This will be my second quilt that I have sewed so far since starting this little adventure I am on. I have almost finished the quilt I am working on for Carter...it is made of some of the same fabric (since there aren't a lot of boy fabrics out there that aren't babish). I love the fabric though and am really excited about Carter's quilt. Next on the list of things I want to do...make a skirt for Parker out the rose pedal fabric and start on a purse. That I know is going to be challenging....but with this weather! Ugh!!! I feel as though I have been in my house non-stop for about three months...oh wait I have.

I finished a new little jacket for Hadlee last night with a matching hat. I used my new fabric, the rose pedal fabric, and I love it. I still need buttons for the jacket and am thinking of putting maybe a ribbon on the hat. Who knows. I just love the fabric and am thinking of making a skirt for Parker and maybe using it somehow in a quilt!! Oh yeah.....I got a new machine last night and LOVE it. It is so wonderful. I spent to much money...but my husband, Ryan, was wanting me to get one that was nice and last a long time. He was so happy with the machine that he messed around on it for about and hour.

winter weather

Well...so much for warmer weather...it is snowing..again for the hundredth time this season. I do love the cold though. It just fits me. In November my sister saw a coat at Hobby Lobby and told me I had to make it. I bought the material late November hoping to finish it before Christmas. I did finish it...but it was was way to big. So, it is sitting in her closet waiting for next year.

Is it spring YET!!

The sun is out and it has warmed up just in time for another storm to come...I really can't wait until spring time. I made my girls a dress, although Parker's is more like a shirt, that are by Izzy and Ivy. Love their stuff. The fabric is Amy Butler. I like how the girls dresses are not matching but they are (if you know what I mean). Parker is excited to wear hers and wishing it would warm up too.

Fabric!! I have always bought fabric for projects that I am doing at the moment. Never have i just went out and bought fabric not knowing what I was going to do with it until this Monday. I found the cutest rose pedal fabric..and fell in love. I wish I would of found it before winter...although it sounds like we aren't even close to winter being done. So I haven't decided if I am going to make a blanket or jacket or both for Hadlee. This is the cutest fabric and I want everyone to see it so I suppose I will make a garment. I also went and bought some cute fabric to make the girls some dresses and shirts. I like that they are matching but not really. Oh..and I bough the fabric from Urban arts and craft in Briarcliff. Love the store and am thinking of taking some classes there to learn some new things. Can't wait to go back and purchase some more great fabrics...
