Vacation Time!!!!

Over Christmas we decided to take a break and head to Colorado!!! Probably, if not, my favorite place to be. My Husband, Ryan had never been, neither had any of my kids. How excited they were to go to another state. It was so much fun!!! The three older kids all took ski lessons, or snow boarding lessons. I decided to try to learn how to snow board with my husband. It was pretty hard! But it was fun learning something new with him and being with him all day. He was a lot better than I was, and I am still feeling all the falls. My kids had a BLAST and can't wait to go back. We are already planning our next trip, where all the kids, including Hadlee will be taking lessons, and maybe one for me too. It is nice to have something that all the kids can do and like no matter what age. I just love Colorado. What is you favorite place to visit and why?

I have one babysitter, two preschool teachers, one second grade teacher, and one fourth grade teacher to get gifts for. What to give them? During the summer teaginnydesigns had the perfect idea. Of course I decided to wait to the last minute to finish them, along with a blanket and a robot back pack I need to make. Oh the holidays brings out the best of my procrastination. In my defense we are heading to Colorado this year for Christmas and getting things ready has been a little chaotic to say the least. I love this idea of making cards. It was super easy too! All you need is some nice cards, any size and some scraps. Oh and you need a sewing machine. I just cut up some scraps and sewed them directly on the cards. Super easy, super fast, super cute. Nothing is better then getting a card that is homemade!

What more could a girl ask for!

A little over a year ago I was teaching 20 preschool kids. Christmas was around the corner and I had no idea what I was going to get my 1 year old. She had everything and with four kids space is a huge problem. I decided that I might try my hand at making a quilt. I went to a quilt shop in Stewartsville, The Quilt Shoppe to get all my fabric. On my second trip I met a young lady named Tula Pink. Little did I know who she was or what she did. She invited me to attend a Modern Quilt Guild. The first meeting I went to Tula was there and also Angela Walter, one of the best if not the greatest long arm quilter. Mind you, I had no clue what a long arm quilter was and I had no clue what Tula did. All I knew was that I had met some gals that I had something in common with and enjoyed spending time with. Fast forward to over a year and I am working at that shop in Stewartsville with some of my best friends, Angela, and Tula. How lucky am I. I am working with two of the most talented girls in the business!!!! So looking back I am so glad my kids are spoiled other wise I might of never went to The Quilt Shoppe that afternoon!
